About the Role
A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Maidenhead is looking to appoint a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for a dynamic educator who is passionate about visual arts and inspiring creativity in young people.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and imaginative Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will join a collaborative department with a strong commitment to fostering artistic talent and supporting all students in achieving their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Art across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
Plan and deliver creative, challenging, and inclusive art lessons.
Inspire students to explore a range of media, techniques, and cultural influences.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to promote development.
Maintain a stimulating and visually engaging classroom and art display areas.
Contribute to the wider life of the school through exhibitions, art clubs, or enrichment opportunities.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Strong subject knowledge in Art and a passion for visual arts education.
Proven ability to engage students and foster a love of creativity.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to departmental development.
A portfolio or evidence of student work is desirable but not required at application stage.
