About the role:
We are looking for experienced Assistant Team Managers from within Children Social Care or aspiring senior Social Workers, with management and supervisory experience, to join our Family Safeguarding Team, to make a difference to the lives of children and young people.
You will deputise when required for the Team Manager and work closely alongside the Team Manager to deliver our vision and strategic values. You will have direct responsibility for social workers, including newly qualified social workers, students and support staff. You will support the Team Manager to drive performance, ensure the right plans are in place and needs lead services and intervention is provided for children and families.
We'll expect you to deputise for the Team Manager when required and support them across a range of areas, including recruitment and retention of staff and the chairing of meetings.
You will be able to build effective relationships, demonstrate strong assessment and analytical skills have a well-developed understanding of assessment, planning and intervention and work effectively as part of a management team.
You will need to be a registered social worker with Social Work England and have significant post qualifying experience working with children and families in the statutory sector.
Hybrid 3 days in the office 2 days at home, all CIN, CGM's and CLA reviews and conferences are in person.
Role cannot be fully remote.
Candidate will ideally need to be local and have access to their own vehicle. They will need to be able to chair CIN meetings and first CGM which are in person at schools or at our offices.
