Tempest Resourcing are recruiting a resilient and confident Behaviour Mentor to work within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in South London. This role involves supporting students who have been permanently excluded or are at risk of exclusion due to behavioural, social, emotional or mental health needs.
This is a role for someone who can provide structure, consistency and strong mentorship - someone who thrives in challenging environments and is committed to helping young people re-engage with education.
🔎 The Role:
Providing 1:1 and small group behaviour support
Supporting students with SEMH, ADHD, ASD and trauma-related needs
Managing challenging behaviour using restorative and de-escalation strategies
Acting as a positive role model and promoting accountability
Supporting reintegration into mainstream education where appropriate
Working closely with pastoral leads, SENCO and senior leadership
💪 The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working in PRU, SEMH, youth work, sports coaching, care or similar settings
Calm under pressure with strong behaviour management skills
Confident setting clear boundaries and maintaining consistency
Emotionally resilient and physically present
Passionate about mentoring vulnerable young people
