Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive secondary school team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in education, youth work, or support work who thrives on building strong relationships and improving student outcomes.
The Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
Work 1:1 and in small groups with students exhibiting challenging behaviour.
Support pupils in managing their emotions, making positive choices, and re-engaging with learning.
Assist teaching staff in de-escalation, behaviour plans, and classroom management strategies.
Build trusted relationships with students to boost confidence and self-esteem.
Monitor progress and contribute to individual behaviour support plans (BSPs).
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with secondary-aged pupils in an educational or youth setting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.
A calm, empathetic, and consistent approach.
Team-player mentality and a commitment to safeguarding.
