Children's Occupational Therapist
Location: Berkshire area
£36 per hour | Full-Time
A Children's Services team in the Berkshire area is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join its Children's Occupational Therapy service on a full-time basis.
This role is predominantly face-to-face, involving on-site assessments across community and education settings in line with service requirements.
About the Role
You will complete in-person occupational therapy assessments for children and young people with a range of needs, supporting development, independence, and participation in everyday activities. The role involves close partnership working with families, schools, and multi-disciplinary professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake face-to-face occupational therapy assessments for children and young people
Provide intervention plans, equipment, and recommendations as required
Work directly with families, schools, and partner professionals
Manage a varied caseload, including complex cases
Maintain accurate and timely case records
Contribute to service development and best practice
Essential Requirements
HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
Experience working with children or within Children's Services
Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures
Car driver with access to a vehicle
Ability to work on-site and undertake face-to-face assessments
