Our client, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, is seeking an experienced Social Worker to provide high-quality statutory social work services to children, young people, and their families.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Children's Social Worker with strong assessment, safeguarding, and court work experience, who is committed to delivering high-quality, relationship-based practice and achieving the best possible outcomes for vulnerable children, young people, and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children and families, providing high-quality statutory social work support and intervention.
- Undertake assessments, safeguarding investigations, and complex casework, preparing clear, evidence-based reports, including for court proceedings.
- Assess the needs of children and families in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and statutory guidance.
- Develop, implement, coordinate, and review outcome-focused support plans to meet the needs of children and families.
- Monitor the effectiveness of care plans and amend interventions where necessary to ensure positive outcomes.
- Promote a child-centred and strengths-based approach, ensuring the voice of the child remains central to all decision-making.
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to children, families, and carers, helping them access appropriate statutory and community services.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure coordinated service delivery and continuity of support.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case records, reports, and documentation using the Council's electronic recording systems.
- Contribute to preventative interventions that reduce risk and improve long-term outcomes for children and families.
- Ensure all safeguarding responsibilities are carried out effectively in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
