Our client in Oldham is seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker - Safeguarding to join their dedicated Long Term Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive local authority that is committed to delivering high-quality safeguarding services through a relationship-based, systemic approach to social work.
As a Children's Social Worker, you will work with children, young people, and their families to safeguard and promote positive outcomes. You will manage a caseload involving safeguarding, Child in Need, Child Protection, and care proceedings, building strong relationships with families while delivering effective, child-centred interventions.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and families within safeguarding and long-term social work.
- Undertake Child in Need, Child Protection, and care proceedings work.
- Complete high-quality assessments, care planning, and risk assessments.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families using a systemic, relationship-based approach.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and improve outcomes.
- Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for meetings and court proceedings where required.
- Maintain accurate and timely case recordings in line with statutory requirements.
- Participate in reflective supervision, continuous professional development, and team learning.
