Our client, Hull City Council, is seeking an experienced Team Manager to join the East Locality team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Children's Social Care Team Manager with strong leadership skills, a sound understanding of safeguarding legislation, and a passion for delivering high-quality, strengths-based social work practice that makes a lasting difference in the lives of children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of Social Workers and other professionals to deliver high-quality statutory social work services.
- Promote and embed evidence-based systemic practice to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families.
- Ensure assessments, interventions, and care plans are child-focused, strengths-based, and outcome-driven.
- Provide regular supervision, performance management, and professional development to team members.
- Maintain high standards of practice, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Support effective decision-making in complex safeguarding and child protection cases.
- Work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to deliver coordinated and holistic support.
- Encourage relationship-based practice, recognising family strengths and promoting collaborative working.
- Ensure care and intervention plans are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) and focused on achieving positive outcomes.
- Promote the use of systemic tools, including genograms and other evidence-based approaches, to inform assessment and intervention.
