An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and visionary Executive Headteacher to lead a group of specialist SEN provisions across Greater Manchester.
This strategic leadership role will oversee multiple school sites supporting pupils aged 5-16 with a range of Special Educational Needs. Working alongside established Heads of School and senior leadership teams, you will drive educational excellence, operational consistency, safeguarding standards, and continuous school improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Provide strategic leadership across multiple SEN settings
✅ Drive operational excellence and consistency across schools
✅ Lead OFSTED readiness and school improvement initiatives
✅ Ensure high-quality teaching, learning and curriculum delivery
✅ Champion safeguarding, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing
✅ Develop and support senior leaders and Heads of School
✅ Work collaboratively with central teams on compliance, staffing and quality assurance
✅ Maintain strong relationships with commissioners and stakeholders
Essential Requirements:
✔ QTS/QTLS (or equivalent)
✔ Successful Headteacher, Principal or Senior Leadership experience
✔ Strong SEN and specialist education background
✔ Proven track record of improving outcomes and standards
✔ Experience leading teams and managing operational performance
✔ Strong understanding of OFSTED and Independent School Standards
✔ Exceptional safeguarding knowledge and leadership skills
✔ Ability to travel regularly across Greater Manchester
Desirable:
⭐ NPQH, NPQEL or equivalent
⭐ Multi-site, MAT or federation leadership experience
⭐ Experience working with Local Authorities and commissioners
