£300.00 per day | 2 days per week (Monday & Friday) | Torbay

Overview

I am currently recruiting for a Fitness Instructor to work with my client in Torbay.

This is an urgent requirement with an immediate start available.

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Fitness Trainer will be responsible for delivering the exercise components of a structured 6-week community-based pulmonary rehabilitation programme for patients with chronic respiratory conditions.

The role focuses on improving patients' physical function, exercise tolerance, confidence, and overall quality of life through safe, progressive, and supervised physical activity.

This role could also be suitable for a newly qualified/band 5 Physiotherapist looking for additional work.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in exercise instruction or rehabilitation (e.g. Level 3 Exercise Referral, Level 4 Specialist Exercise Instructor - Long-Term Conditions or Respiratory)
  • Registration with a recognised professional body such as Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) or equivalent
  • Additional training in pulmonary rehabilitation or long-term condition management (desirable)
  • Ability to safely assess baseline physical function (e.g. exercise tolerance, mobility, functional capacity) within scope of practice
