An excellent mainstream secondary school in Wigan is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Food Technology Teacher to join their Design & Technology department from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive school with excellent facilities and motivated students.

The Role

• Teach Food Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory lessons.
• Assess, monitor and support student progress.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
• Work collaboratively within the DT department.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Food Technology within UK secondary schools.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Passion for practical learning and student development.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable

• Ability to teach an additional DT subject.
• Experience preparing students for GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition.
• ECTs are welcome to apply.
