Tempest Resourcing are seeking a skilled and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a Primary SEMH school in Manchester. This is a full-time, long-term role supporting pupils with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs.
About the Role
Full-time position within a specialist SEMH primary setting
Cover PPA, deliver planned lessons and provide occasional classroom cover
Support class teachers in creating a positive, trauma-informed learning environment
May be required to run small group interventions focused on behaviour, regulation and academic skills
Work closely with pastoral and behaviour teams
Requirements
HLTA qualification (or higher) - essential
Classroom-based experience supporting primary-aged pupils
Experience as an HLTA or qualified Teacher is highly desirable
Knowledge and experience of SEMH, trauma-informed practice, ASC and challenging behaviours
Must have excellent verbal communication skills
Confident, resilient and able to build strong relationships with pupils
