We are recruiting a Pastoral Support Assistant/Pupil Engagement Assistant to support pupils aged 7-14. In this role, you'll foster school engagement, attendance and behaviour, collaborating with pastoral and teaching teams in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build positive, trust-based relationships with pupils to enhance engagement, self-confidence and school attendance.
- Deliver calm and consistent behavioural support aligned with each pupil's personalised plan and therapeutic goals.
- Mentor pupils on emotional awareness and self-regulation through individual and small-group sessions.
- Support transitions, break/lunch times, enrichment events, and offsite visits.
- Work closely with the Family Liaison and Pastoral teams to monitor attendance, wellbeing, and family engagement.
- Contribute to team meetings, behaviour planning, and ongoing strategy refinement.
- Help collect and relay feedback on pupil progress to teaching and pastoral teams.
- Monitor wellbeing and escalate concerns per safeguarding policy.

Requirements:
- Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths, grade 4/C or higher.
- Experience in pastoral support or SEN. Autism, ADHD, SEMH; ongoing training provided.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to act as a positive role model.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
