We are working with a community-focused housing provider managing approximately 700 homes, seeking a proactive and customer-focused Repairs Officer to take ownership of their responsive repairs and voids service. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of responsive repairs and void properties, ensuring works are completed efficiently, safely, compliantly and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing responsive repairs from initial report through to completion.
- Raising work orders, obtaining quotes and instructing contractors.
- Carrying out pre and post inspections.
- Monitoring contractor performance and quality of works.
- Managing void properties to minimise turnaround times.
- Identifying and escalating complex repairs, damp and mould, disrepair and other high-risk issues.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Delivering excellent customer service to residents at every stage.
You will have:
- Experience managing responsive repairs and voids within social housing, housing management or property services.
- Strong knowledge of housing maintenance and property compliance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet service targets.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
