SEN Teaching Assistant -Autism - Haringey | Haringey, London

Start date: January 2026

Contract: Full-time, long-term

We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Autism Unit within a mainstream school in Haringey (N17) from January 2026.

You'll be supporting pupils with autism (ASC), including some who are non-verbal or have significant communication and sensory needs.

Role overview:

  • Full-time, long-term role in an autism provision
  • 1:1 and small-group support
  • Following EHCP targets and individual learning plans
  • Using visual supports, routines and structured activities
  • Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour linked to anxiety
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo
  • Assisting with personal care where required

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience with autism and/or other SEND (school, care, youth work or similar)
  • Is patient, calm and resilient
  • Can build positive relationships and follow support plans consistently
  • Is able to commit Monday-Friday from January 2026 for the full academic year
  • Has the right to work in the UK
