We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Autism Unit within a mainstream school in Haringey (N17) from January 2026.
You'll be supporting pupils with autism (ASC), including some who are non-verbal or have significant communication and sensory needs.
Role overview:
- Full-time, long-term role in an autism provision
- 1:1 and small-group support
- Following EHCP targets and individual learning plans
- Using visual supports, routines and structured activities
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour linked to anxiety
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo
- Assisting with personal care where required
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience with autism and/or other SEND (school, care, youth work or similar)
- Is patient, calm and resilient
- Can build positive relationships and follow support plans consistently
- Is able to commit Monday-Friday from January 2026 for the full academic year
- Has the right to work in the UK
