Our client, Stafford-shire County Council, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join their Children's Services team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality, restorative social work practice that empowers families, promotes positive outcomes for children, and supports children to remain safely within their family networks wherever possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality social work interventions and assessments in line with statutory requirements, professional standards, and restorative practice principles.
- Promote strengths-based relationships with children, families, colleagues, partners, and stakeholders across the district.
- Ensure Family Group Conferences and Family Meetings are offered and considered for all allocated families as part of assessment, planning, and intervention processes.
- Support families to develop and implement sustainable plans that promote safety, well-being, and positive outcomes for children.
- Produce high-quality assessments, reports, and court documentation within required timescales for courts, Child Protection Conferences, Statutory Reviews, and other professional forums.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor interventions for children and families, working collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve inspirational outcomes.
- Undertake regular reviews of children's circumstances and support plans, adapting interventions and services as required in partnership with families and professionals.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records in accordance with Directorate policies, procedures, and the Integrated Children's System.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with families, professionals, and community networks to support children to remain safely at home or facilitate successful rehabilitation where appropriate.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new initiatives, policies, and service improvements across Children's Services.
