Our client in North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking an experienced Agency Social Worker to join their Children's Assessment & Safeguarding Service in Grimsby.
The successful candidate will work closely with children, families and partner agencies to undertake timely assessments, provide targeted interventions and reduce risk, with a strong focus on achieving positive outcomes and creating safer futures for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and families, identifying needs, risks and safeguarding concerns.
- Deliver targeted interventions and support to improve outcomes for children and young people.
- Build strong, meaningful relationships with children, families and professionals.
- Develop and implement effective plans to reduce risk and safeguard children.
- Work collaboratively with established multi-agency partners.
- Manage an allocated caseload effectively and ensure work is completed within required timescales.
- Contribute to a strengths-based and child-centred approach, empowering families to achieve sustainable change.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure high-quality social work practice.
- Participate in professional discussions, learning and development opportunities.
- Share knowledge and best practice within a supportive and collaborative team.
