About the role
Tempest Resourcing in partnership with Hertfordshire County Council is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join their Assessment Team, based in St. Albans. In this role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding children and ensuring their welfare, working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to provide the best outcomes for those in need.
As a Children's Social Worker in the Assessment Team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in partnership with families and professionals.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
- Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.
To be considered for this position, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a varied caseload.
- Experience in working with children and families in a social work setting.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
