Our client in Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced and committed Social Worker to join their Adult Social Care service.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner to work alongside adult social care practitioners, managers and other professionals across countywide locality offices, hospital settings and a specialist learning disabilities team.
The role will involve supporting adults with care and support needs through strengths-based, person-centred practice, while upholding their rights, wishes and choices within the relevant statutory frameworks.
The Role
As a Social Worker, you will:
Undertake complex social care assessments and interventions in line with the Care Act.
Develop person-centred support plans that enable individuals to live the lives they choose.
Take a strengths-based, inclusive, anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive approach to practice.
Support people experiencing crisis to regain control and achieve greater stability and independence.
Coordinate and manage Section 42 safeguarding enquiries and complex, high-risk situations.
Use professional curiosity and sound professional judgement when exploring concerns and managing risk.
Support individuals to connect with community resources, including promoting digital inclusion.
Develop strong knowledge of local resources and work collaboratively with internal teams and external services.
Work closely with partner agencies to provide an integrated and holistic approach to supporting individuals.
Contribute to the development and support of colleagues within the team.
Maintain high professional standards through regular supervision, reflection, appraisal and continued professional development.
Take responsibility for individual and team performance objectives while recognising and addressing areas for further development.
Contribute ideas and feedback to support the ongoing improvement of the service.
