Primary SEND Teacher - Secondary SEND School (Near Prestwich)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEND school near Prestwich for an experienced Primary SEND Teacher to work within a secondary-aged SEND setting.
This role involves teaching pupils whose cognitive and developmental levels are closer to Early Years / Key Stage 1 (approximately 4-5 years). Classes are small, highly supported, and focused on engagement, communication, and emotional regulation rather than age-related outcomes.
You will be supported in class by experienced SEND Teaching Assistants, allowing you to focus on high-quality teaching, structure, and relationship-building.
Role Details
Primary SEND Teacher within a secondary SEND school
Small class sizes with high adult-to-pupil ratio
Pupils with significant learning and developmental needs
Initial cover until Easter, with a strong view to extend until July

Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Minimum 12 months UK teaching experience
Experience teaching pupils with SEND (formal or informal)
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Calm, patient, and adaptable teaching style
Confident working with pupils operating at early developmental stages
