Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a strong background in behaviour support? A welcoming and inclusive school in Camden is looking for a dedicated TA to join their supportive team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of students with complex needs, including those with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with diverse special educational needs
- Use effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies to support positive outcomes
- Build trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and emotional development
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to support holistic learning
- Foster a calm, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports every pupil's progress
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 6 months' experience in an SEN or behaviour-focused role (essential)
- Proven behaviour management skills with a calm, empathetic, and consistent approach
- A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs reach their potential
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
