Our client in the Bradford Borough is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead a Children's Social Care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality statutory services to children, young people, and their families.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Children's Social Care Team Manager with strong leadership skills, extensive safeguarding knowledge, and a passion for delivering high-quality services that improve outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of Social Workers and Community Resource Workers, promoting high-quality social work practice.
- Allocate, review, and monitor caseloads to ensure effective case management and outcome-focused care planning.
- Chair multi-agency meetings and work collaboratively with partner agencies to develop coordinated support plans.
- Provide reflective supervision, appraisals, and ongoing professional development to staff.
- Monitor team performance against local and national targets, implementing improvements where required.
- Quality assure assessments, care plans, case records, and statutory documentation to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
- Manage recruitment, performance, capability, attendance, and other staffing matters in line with organisational policies.
- Provide guidance and informed decision-making on complex safeguarding and child protection cases.
- Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion while ensuring the needs of all children, young people, and families are effectively met.
- Support service improvement initiatives, promote evidence-based practice, and contribute to the ongoing development of the service.
- Manage budgets and authorised expenditure in accordance with departmental guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, departmental procedures, and health and safety legislation.
