Cheshire East Council is seeking an experienced and committed Team Manager to join the Children with Disabilities Hub. This is a key role providing operational oversight, leadership, and service development within a specialist team supporting children with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage up to 6 Family Support Workers who support children with disabilities with package-based interventions.
- Work collaboratively with another Team Manager, who oversees the Social Workers managing CIN, CP, and Care Proceedings cases.
- Provide cover and support in the absence of the co-manager, ensuring continuity of service.
- Report directly to the Service Manager for the Children with Disabilities Service.
- Oversee operational case management, quality assurance, and team performance.
- Drive the continued development of the Disabilities Hub, working in partnership with parents, carers, and multi-agency professionals.
What We're Looking For:
- A passionate and skilled leader with proven experience managing services for children with disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of restorative practice and trauma-informed, relationship-based approaches.
- Capable of driving best practice and delivering high-quality support services in a multi-agency context.
- Confident in managing staff performance, risk, and quality assurance across a complex case load.
- Able to work flexibly across Crewe and Macclesfield, with hybrid work options available (3 office days minimum).
The working hours for this role at 8:30am to 5pm Mon-Thurs and 8:30am to 4:30pm on a Friday.
The service covers the whole of Cheshire East so there is the option to work from Macclesfield Town Hall or Delamere House in Crewe.
This is a hybrid role but with the expectation that the candidate is able to work from the office a minimum of 3 days a week.
