Our client in Nottingham City Council is currently recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to join our Children's Locality Team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Children's Services Team Manager to lead and support a busy Locality Team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and positive outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, management, and supervision to a team of Social Workers and support staff.
- Oversee the management of Children in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care cases.
- Ensure statutory responsibilities and safeguarding duties are met to a high standard.
- Support staff development through regular supervision, guidance, and performance management.
- Monitor service delivery, caseloads, and practice standards to ensure quality and compliance.
- Chair meetings and contribute to strategy discussions, planning, and decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Management experience within Children's Social Care.
- Strong knowledge of legislation, safeguarding procedures, and statutory guidance.
- Experience managing teams within a Locality, Child Protection, Children in Need, or Children in Care setting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to effectively manage performance, risk, and service delivery.
