Our client, Hull City Council, is seeking an experienced and motivated Team Manager to join their Children's Social Care Service.
This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a qualified and experienced social work professional to manage and support a team of Social Workers and practitioners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that achieve positive outcomes for children, young people, and families.
Team Managers may be based within one of the following service areas:
- Early Help and Safeguarding Hub (EHASH) & Assessment
- Locality Based Safeguarding Teams
- Children and Families Disability Team (CFDT)
- Permanence Teams
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership, management, and supervision to Social Workers and other team members.
- Ensure high standards of professional practice, performance, and service delivery across the team.
- Oversee the assessment, planning, intervention, and review processes for children and families requiring support and protection.
- Ensure compliance with statutory duties, safeguarding responsibilities, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, reflective practice, and professional development.
- Monitor and manage team performance, caseloads, and resources to ensure effective service delivery.
- Support complex case decision-making and provide professional guidance in relation to safeguarding, child protection, and care planning.
- Foster strong partnership working with children, families, partner agencies, and multidisciplinary professionals.
- Contribute to service development initiatives and support the implementation of organisational priorities.
